Common Hawthorn 2 - Raw Tree
Collected in 2022 by Dave Allen and Shrau from Moon Gate Bonsai in Victoria. This past winter 2023, extensive root work was performed to remove the native field soil, layout, cut, and reduce the root system to transition the root ball for bonsai cultivation. It is now planted in 1:1 pumice akadama soil composition. A stunning example of the natural up-and-out structure inherent in ancient deciduous trees, making this ideal to create a developed bonsai deciduous form. The secondary branch structure of this tree has complexity and intrigue, allowing you to create a design that is closer to the tertiary stages of refinement in the coming years.

We can arrange courier delivery via Rangeview transport (VIC, ACT, NSW QLD only), a specialist tree courier service we use and trust at Tree Makers. Or via TNT to all other areas.
Pickup, Shipping, and Delivery options
Shipping at checkout will be “$0” - this does not mean that shipping is free or available. Pick-up from our location in the Blue Mountains will be available for all trees. Nationwide shipping will be available for only some trees. At checkout you will be promoted to nominate what collection/delivery option you would like.
If you would like to discuss shipping/pickup needs before purchasing please Email info@treemakers.com.au (NOTE: no holds while getting quotes). Shipping/delivery costs will be invoiced once an arrangement is found after the purchase of the tree(s).
Due to interstate biosecurity quarantine laws, trees cannot be shipped/delivered to the states of WA and TAS without prior planning. No international shipping is available.

Boarding charges are collected at the beginning of each month after the purchase of each tree(s). Payment covers from the time of invoice sent until the end of the month. Boarding starts at $33/tree per month with additional charges for large specimens. If trees leave Tree Makers inside of the billed month, no discount is applied as boarding is applied on a month-to-month basis.
Terms of Sale
Tree purchases are non-refundable. This is considered agreed upon once a purchase is made.
Purchaser acknowledges that due to the continually changing nature of a living growing product, tree(s) may differ slightly in form and shape than in the photographs.
Upon acquisition of the tree(s) by the purchaser or nominated recipient and from that moment forward, Tree Makers releases all responsibility for health, life, and changes in the tree(s). We take no responsibility for the death of trees once they have left our care.
